Dissertation is devoted to investigate reactions of alkanes,
halogenalkanes and aromatic carboxylic acids with system
SF4-HF-halogenating agent and to study influence of reagent ratio and
electron-nature of substituents on the route of hydrozen replacement in
saturated hydrocarbons, and on electrophillic halogenation in benzene
ring. Scope for using sulfur tetrafluoride for substitution of hydrozen
in saturated hydrocarbons by fluorine has been shown and it is
established that hy-

drozen replacement by fluorine occurs in those hydrocarbons for which
formation of carbenic ion is available. Reactions of benzoic, toluic,
phtalic acids and their derivatives with system SF4-HF-halogenating
agent are studied. It has been shown that halogenbenzoylfluorides formed
at the first step of the reactions of benzoic and toluoic acids, are
converted into corresponding benzotrifluorides at high reaction
temperature, while phtalic acids react with system SF4-HF-halogenating
agent, giving bis-(trifluoromethyl)benzenes at the first stage, which
are subsequently halogenated at severe conditions forming
halogen-containing bis-(trifluoromethyl)benzene. Ingestigation of
reactions of aromatic carboxylic acids with system offers to design a
one-step procedure for synthesis of halogenbenzotrifluorides. Suitable
methods for manufacture of anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs are
designed. These methods envolve reaction of ethyl ester of
2-chloronicotinic acid with corresponding anilines. Two convinient
methods of preparation versatile intermadiate for synthesis of
anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs(flunixin), are developed.
Analogues of niflumic acid containing two trifluoromethyl groups in
benzene nucleus are obtained with high yields. Heterocyclic analogue of
diflurant-anti-inflammatory drug is synthesized. It has been
established that introduction of second trifluoromethyl group
results in abrupt enhancement of analgesic activity.
