Datsko T.V. Influence of a Cardiotoxic Dose of Adrenaline on Metabolism
and Morphology of the Liver in Animals with Varions Resistance to
Hypoxia.

Thesis for a Master’s degree of medicine in Speciality 14.03.04 —
pathologic physiology. Ternopil State Medical Academy. — Ternopil, 1999.

The work presents the results of ascertaining the liver metabolism in
animals with low and high resistance to hypoxia in stress. The
investigation revealed a cardiotoxic adrenaline dose to result in
metabolic impairments in the liver with simultaneous developing
dystrophic and compensatory — adaptable processes at different levels of
its structural — functional organization. In animals with high
resistance to hypoxia the activity of enzymic and non-enzymic systems of
antioxidant protection is higher than in low-resistant animals. Na+,
E+-AOF amount decreases in inverse ratio to increasing lipid peroxide
oxidation activity. Predominant glycolactic acid final products level,
its accumulative activity rise as well as lactate-pyruvate ratio
elevation in injecting a cardiotoxic adrenaline dose prove aerobic
oxidation inhibition and non-oxidated products accumulation in the given
animal group. In both animal groups structural hepatic changes at
microscopic and subcellular levels are of metabolic — dysrophic
character which is the evidence of predominant catabolic metabolic
processes in the liver and energy source lack. Comparative analyses of
the data in biochemical and morphologic assessing adrenaline influence
on the liver against the background of injecting indometacine
demonstrated adrenanile hepatotoxicity increase in low-resistant
animals. The investigation enabled to conclude an individual organism’s
reactivity to influence essentiall pathologic processes development.
Thus the data of the investigation may be the basis for developing
prophylaxis of hepatic impairments in species with different resistance
to hypoxia in stress.
