The dissertation is connected with solving of some important and
actual problems on searching of new materials for electronics and
with studying their properties with the aim of practical using. The
ability to exist with significant structural disordering,
departure from stoichiometry, which essentially determine their
properties is the main feature of Cu and Ag chalcohenides. Hence,
during the obtaining of these material in bulk and thin film it is
possible to change the properties in needed direction. These materials
are degenerated disordered semiconductors with significant
compensation and selfcompensation of charge. Interest to multicomponent
Cu and Ag chalcohenides is due to that by changing of composition
of components and structural changes it is possible to produce
materials, wich are usefull to production of solar
phototransformers and thermoelectrotransformers. Such attempts were
done for binary Cu and Ag chalcohenides only, but for
multicomponent systems information is poor.

In connection with thin the experimental study of phase
formation and structure of multicomponent alloys, the formation
features of multicomponent thin films of Cu and Ag chalcohenides on
different substrates at different conditions, obtaining the films
with definite composition and studing their structure and physical
properties is an important problem of physics.

The methods of alloing of binary and multicomponent Cu and Ag
chalcohenides, obtaining of thin films in quasiclosed volume with
using of discrete evaporation method were developed. The studies of
electrophysical properties of complex chemical compounds thin
films was carried out.

The dissertation is devoted to study of multicomponent copper and
silver chalcogens both bulk and think films. Phase formation in
binaries Nu2S – Ag2Se, Cu2S – Ag2Oa, Cu2S – Cu2Se, Cu2S – Cu2Oa have
been investigated by means of X-ray scattering and DTA method. The
existence of chemical compounds Cu2SxSe1-x and Cu2SxTe1-x in Cu2S –
Cu2Se and Cu2S – Cu2Oa alloys was established. The ir crystalline
structure and homogeneity range were determined. The hexagonal lattice
and P63/mmc structural type are the main characteriscs of those
compounds. The growth behaviour of copper and silver multicomponent
chalcogens in monocrystalline (NaCl, KCl, KBr, mica) and amorrphous
substrates is determined. It is shown, that hyperstructure formation
occurs at high temperatures on substrate (O>570E) and upon
recrystallisation of films, which is one step process. The
electrophysical properties of Cu2SexSi-x, Cu2TexSi-x, (0,3o0,7),
Cu4TeSe, AgCuSe and Cu2Se are also investigated. These films show the
high concentration of carriers (1019 -1021 sm-3 ) and thermo e.m.f.
(20-160 V/K). The n-kind of conductivity exists in AgCuSe films and
other show the p-kind. The scattering of charge carriers is explained in
assumption that valence band consists two subbands – light-weight and
high-weight holes. Within temperature range 240340K on acoustical and
optical phonons.

These samples as well as CdS0,6Se0,4 alloy were evaluated to produce
the solar photoelectrotransformers. All heterostructures, as was
found, are photosensitive and show spectrum selectivity. Obtained
results can be base for the next improvements in practical using of
materials.
