FAN DINH TAN. Oriental-occidental artistic interactions and the
Vietnamese Music Culture. – A manuscript.

Thesis for a doctor’s degree by speciality 17.00.01 – theory and history
of culture. The P.Chaikovski National Music Academ of Ukraine. Kyiv,

The dissertation is devoted to the questions of cultural interactions
between the Oriental and Occidental global regions. It is shown that the
particulars of the cross-cultural interactions are determined with the
world outlook and artistic traditions of these regions, the
psychological conditions of the formation of specific artistic world
outlooks are traced. There are depicted such factors of the Far Eastern
cultural genesis as the principles of meritocracy and automotivation,
specific theatre centrical orientation and artistism of daily life at
this region are demonstrated, stratagems and archetypes of the Far
Eastern culture are revealed. The proposition as to the three ways of
development of the occidental orientalism is substantiated – those of
“missianary”, “jazz” and “eurasian”. The particulars of the assimilation
of occidental traditions under the conditions of the Far Eastern culture
have been analyzed.
