Defended are 4 scientific works in which peculiarities of solid state
synthesis of lanthanum gallium silicate are investigated, and found are
optimum conditions for the obtaining of the monophase product with a
deviation of the main components content from the stoichiometric one not
exceeding the determination error. Developed is a technological
procedure for the growth of La3 Ga5 SiO14 single crystals characterized
by high optical quality and structure homogeneity. Al3+ and Ti4+
modifier ions are selected, and established are their rolations with
the matrixions which give rise to the ordering of langasite crystal
lattice followed by improvement of its optical and piezoelectric
characteristics. It is found that coloring of the crystals is caused by
the reduction of Ga3+ matrix ions. Established are the conditions for
decoloring by means of thermal or electrothermal annealing.
