In the research the substance of the notions labour force cost and
labour price is revealed through the category of labour force
reproduction expenditure and employers’ expenses (as its component) on
wage workers. The peculiarities of reproduction process are under
consideration. The process is performed at various levels and its
multilevel depends on certain social and economic and historical
environment. It is stressed that in joint labour force reproduction
expenditure the main source of labour force compensation is employers’
expenditure which covers wages and all additional payments necessary for
the involvement, maintenance and use of the worker. Proceeding from the
expertise of developed countries, international organisations’
regulations an analysis is carried out which presents the characteristic
properties of labour force reproduction expenditure formation in terms
of the transformation of the economy of Ukraine.
