Diagnostic role of metabolic products of nitrogenic oxide of expirated air at bronchitis in seafarers. – Manuscript. Thesis for a candidate’s degree by speciality 14.01.34 – aircraft, space and marine medicine. – The State foundation “ Ukrainian Scientific-Research Institute of Marine Medicine”, Odessa, 1999. This thesis is dedicated to questions of the determination of diagnostic possibilities of metabolic products of nitrogenic oxide from the condensate of expirated air at chronic bronchitis(CB) at seafarers. There was realized an analysis of social – epidemiological peculiaritis in seafarers, suffered from CB. It was demonstrated, that in the structure of the preliminary and general morbidity of seafarers diseases of the respiratory tract take the 1 – 2 place and during the 5-years period (1992-1996) is determined tendency of growth of the amount of CB. The expansion of CB in seafarers is depended from the type of fleet, profession, age, sex, term of the work, smoking, etc. CB is the most expressed among long term working marine mechanics and officers, who works on the cargo-vessel fleet. There was learned a metabolism of nonorganic oxides of nitrogen by determination of NO2,NO3 in the expirate of lungs. In organism of healthy people, the excretion of nitrates with exspirate is in 3 times higher, than nitrites. In patients with obstructive form of CB the excretion with expirate of oxides of nitrogen is in 2 times lower, than in patients with inobstructive form CB. It was determined a big intensity of excretion of NO2 and NO3 by lungs in 8 times in healthy man and in 4 times in patients with CB. It was prooved a necessity of the discount of concentrational values of excretoric products on the unit of creatinine in the exspirate as a new diagnostic criterion, allowed to clearly differenciate groups of patients by determination of NO2+NO3, NH3, creatinine.
