The dissertation deals with the problems of the assembly processes
productivity increase made at the expense of continuous technology
systems application.

The general methodology approach to design the automatic technology
assembly systems used for assembly processes is proposed in the paper.

There are 6 sections in it.

The first one is devoted to the problem present state analysis. The goal
and tasks of the investigation are identified. The aim of the
dissertation is to develop the methods of continuous technology systems
design methods applied to the assembly processes, which provide the
productivity and manufacturing processes automation level raise achieved
due to the application of qualitatively new structures and the continuos
kinematically automatic technology systems.

To achieve the goal the following tasks were solved:

-the assembly technology process hypothetical models were developed;

-the multivariant continuous component and unit process mathematics
model was developed;

-the automatic technology assembly system structure dependence on the
assembly article structure was identified;

-the automatic technology assembly module functioning universal
kinematic model was developed;

-the assembly components route parameters for one input and n number of
output technology assembly modules were defined;

-the continuous automatic technology assembly systems functional
structures were developed;

-the continuous automatic technology assembly systems design algorithm
was developed;

-the continuous automatic technology assembly systems non-traditional
variants were developed.

The second section is devoted to the modelling problems. The assembly
process technology model based on the graph theory and influence of
three main flows (energy, information, and material) on the assembly
object was proposed. The model allows to minimise the technology
assembly process both for each separate flow and all the flows in the
whole.

The assembly technology systems structures are examined in the third
section. The given type assembly system structure is stated to change
from the consecutive to the parallel one. The system maximum
productivity is achieved under the assembly system parallel structure.

The kinematics universal model of the assembly technology module
functioning which allows to get the complete set of the variants of
technology assembly modules kinematics is proposed in the fourth
section. The continuous assembly technology systems structural in
principle models obtaining is examined. It is possible to get the
concrete variants of continuous assembly technology systems on their
basis.

The fifth section is devoted to the problem of routing of the
intermediate assembly components for divided flows (out input and n
number of output assembly modules) for the first-class (rotor systems)
technology systems. The analytical dependences were obtained. They allow
to identify the following: the position of the intermediate assembly
component at any time-moment, the general number of routes of the
assembly components movement, and a number of routes of the complete
kinematics cycle.

The continuous assembly automaton design aimed to make the assembly of
O-ring seals with cylindrical articles (fig. 7) is considered in the
sixth section of the dissertation. These articles have been widely
adopted in the units of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. The
investigations on the influence of geometry parametres on the assembly
process productivity and reliability were carried out as applied to this
automaton. The continuous technology assembly systems algorithm based
on the proposed theory was developed. The recommendations on the further
development of the systems of this type are proposed. The dissertation
results are introduced into the manufacturing and the academic process.
