theoretical physics, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University, Kyiv, 1999.

The dissertation is devoted to theoretical investigation of the
electrodynamics properties of inhomogeneous medium. Main attention of
the work is focused on study of influence of electromagnetic radiation
(EMR) interaction with matrix dispersed systems (MDS) that consist of
dielectric matrix and embedded in metallic inclusions on the process of
absorption of electromagnetic radiation by the surface plasmons. It is
considered effects of multipole interaction between inclusions,
influence of particle size distribution in the matrix dispersed systems
and account of features of pair distribution function of particles in
the matrix dispersed systems in the Percus-Yevick approximation. It is
investigated an influence of fractality of system on the absorption
process of electromagnetic radiation in the matrix dispersed systems. It
is taken conditions of the metal-dielectric transition at applying of
Bruggemann and differential effective medium (DEM) approximations in
dependence on the shape of inclusions and orientation toward the
external electrostatic field.
