The thesis is devoted to theoretical substantiation and practical
elaboration of methodology of teaching pupils of the 7th and 8th Forms
English Grammar and to the problem of organizing grammar material in the
textbook «English through Communication». It has been theoretically
substantiated that grammar material is to be taught with the help of
different types of heuristic talks and the subsystem of grammar
exercises which fully reflects the age peculiarities of the 7th and 8th
Forms pupils. It has been proved that in a textbook based on intensive
technology grammar material should be arranged in the way suggested by
the researcher. Different types of heuristic talks, the subsystem of
grammar exercises and grammar commentaries that have become an integral
part of the textbook «English through Communication» for the 7th and 8th
Forms have been created.
